Ordination Anniversary!

“I Am About My Father’s Work”

June 3, 1979 to June 3, 2018

Congratulations! Father Duane as you celebrate your 39th year of priestly ordination. Thank you for being our pastor, shepherding us and leading us to Christ through Liturgies and the Sacraments for 29 years!

Thank you for being a loving Father to your parishioners and to our Eastside community. May God bless you in mind, body, and spirit this day, this year, and for many more years to come.

We thank you, God our Father, for our pastor, Father Duane Novelly, who has responded to your call to priestly ministry.

Accept this prayer we offer on his behalf. Lead him to new depths of union with your Son. Increase in him profound faith in the Sacraments he celebrates as they nourish, strengthen, and heal us.

Lord , grant that Father Duane, your priest, may inspire us to strive for holiness by the power of his example, as a man of prayer who follows your will and ponders your Word.

Amen.

Congratulations, and Best of Luck Julie Smith!

Congratulations! And the Best of Luck!

Julie Smith gives new meaning to the phrase “You go, girl!”. Julie qualified for and will be participating in the Boston Marathon on Monday, April 16th. We wish nothing but the best in her efforts.

The Boston Marathon is hosted by several cities around Boston and is held on Patriots’ Day, the third Monday of April.

Started in 1897, the event was inspired by the success of the first marathon competition in the 1896 Summer Olympics. It is the world’s oldest annual marathon and ranks as one of the world’s best known road racing events.

So, Julie, we will be thinking of you and wishing you well as you take on this challenge!
